Mindfulness in English

Pause. Breathe. Feel. Live.

Mindfulness
is the practice of being present in the moment on purpose, open to what is actually there and not judging it.

This moment is only place in time where we can act and make a difference.

Mindfulness increases our capacity to calm our mind. As we learn to get in touch with our body sensations and feelings, we start seeing what causes us to suffer. Learning to be with whatever there is in the moment – be it good or bad – frees us. We are enabled to step out of the automatic pilot and respond in healthier ways. Mindfulness enhances openness, emotional resilience, clarity of thought and personal well-being. Feelings of stress, anxiety, tension, powerlessness, fatigue and sometimes even somatic illness are reduced.

Mindfulness can be practiced by everybody and is applicable in every sphere of life.

MBSR

The eight-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course (MBSR) is offered as developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn. It’s a well-researched programme which is used around the world to reduce stress, cope with illness and live a fuller life.

A majority of people having completed the eight-week course report lasting benefits, including

  • an increased ability to efficiently handle stressful situations

  • a greater capacity for relaxation

  • lasting positive effects on somatic and psycho-somatic symptoms

  • enhanced self-confidence, self-esteem and emotional well-being

  • greater balance, energy and enthusiasm for life
